More than 50 industry professionals gathered Monday at the Stockton Seaview Hotel and Golf Course in Galloway, New Jersey, for the SAAGNY Foundation’s Lenore Goldberg Memorial Golf Outing. The outing, named for late Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY) volunteer, board president and foundation trustee Lenore Goldberg, raises funds for the SAAGNY Foundation, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.

Monday’s golf outing began with a noon lunch followed by play at 2 pm. This year’s winners were Wayne Burden of Northeast Marketing, Joe Partyka of Partyka Associates, Andrew Peden of EPSSCO and Ben Yeager. The foundation also awarded those who got closest to the pin, Henry Fajardo and Liz Neary of LC Marketing Communications, and those who made the longest drive, Wayne Burden and Dale Johnson-Cornell of Dale B. Johnson Associates.

The SAAGNY Foundation provides hands-on volunteering opportunities for SAAGNY members to serve children with disabilities and children who are ill, as well as people in the community who may need help. Its vision is to use the resources of the promotional products industry to make a difference in the lives of people with whom members work and in their surrounding communities.

The proceeds of the golf outing are used to underwrite the foundation’s many activities, including visits to Happiness is Camping, a camp for child cancer patients and their siblings; supporting the Hilltop School for children with emotional and developmental disabilities; and the foundation’s writing instrument and clothing drives. Goldberg was passionate about golf and was committed to the foundation, and the foundation hosts the golf outing in her memory as a tribute.
