November 28 is Giving Tuesday, a national holiday celebrated annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to encourage charitable giving and volunteerism. It is the perfect opportunity to contribute to the futures to young people in the promotional products family through the Promotional Products Education Fund (PPEF).

  • PPEF has awarded college scholarships in the promotional products world for over 30 years.
  • The recipients are all part of the promotional products family; a few are industry employees themselves, and the rest have parents or guardians who work for distributors, suppliers, business service companies or multi-line representatives.
  • Visit PPEF.us./donate to give to the scholarship fund.

PPEF By The Numbers

For years, PPEF has been dedicated to recognizing and encouraging scholastic excellence and academic performance among promotional products industry employees and their college-aged children.

  • Since 1989, PPEF has awarded $3,347,000 to 1,788 students.

Applications for the 2024-2025 school year are open until March 15, 2024.

  • PPEF will award $321,500 in scholarships to 170 students for the 2024-2025 school year.

This scholarship has made paying for college much more doable for my family and I, and for that we will all be forever grateful,” says Li, who, as the daughter of Sheng Yuan Li, is an extension of the SnugZ USA family and utilized her PPEF scholarship this year to help cover her tuition at the University of Mary.

A Giving Day Goal

Giving Day kicks off the holiday giving season and inspires people to collaborate to improve their local communities and give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

  • PPEF’s 2023 Giving Tuesday goal is $10,000, to be used for tomorrow’s leaders in the promotional products industry.

“Giving Tuesday is an opportunity for each of us to think beyond ourselves and help those who can use assistance of some kind,” says Kathlene Brethowr, PPEF executive director. “That same sentiment is at the heart of PPEF’s mission. The promo world is a family, and we want to continue to provide assistance to those in our community to achieve higher education, no matter what direction they go in their lives and careers. We would love your support this Giving Tuesday.”
