Distributor Queensboro (PPAI 667214) in Wilmington, North Carolina, has announced that it will donate one percent of all sales through the end of the year to Dolly Parton’s My People Fund to aid families and communities that have been affected by the wildfires in Tennessee.

The fires broke out the day before Thanksgiving and with the state suffering from drought conditions, spread to Gatlinburg and the Pigeon Forge area. While the flames have been subdued, the fire claimed several lives and hundreds of homes and businesses. The My People Fund, a charity started by Dolly Parton, has pledged to donate all money raised directly to families affected by the wildfires.

“At this time of the year when we are all thinking a lot about being grateful and helping others, we are delighted to be able to lend a hand to our neighbors from across the mountains. We are also delighted to be able to give our customers the opportunity to partner with us to help with this very urgent need,” says Queensboro President and Founder Fred Meyers.

Additionally, all Queensboro customers placing an order through the end of the year will receive a free “Tennessee Strong” t-shirt. Additional t-shirts are being sold for $15 each, with the proceeds also going to the My People Fund.
