PPAI’s North American Leadership Conference (NALC) arrives in Nashville, Tennessee, next week, bringing together industry executives and thought leaders for a dive into top-of-mind business issues and ideas affecting the promotional products industry. Running August 9-11 at the Omni Nashville, the three-day event features networking events, emerging business issues, trends and best practices.

NALC 2015 delivers an extensive speaker roster drawn from both inside and outside the promotional products industry. Many of NALC’s speakers represent the best of the Nashville business community. Among those speakers are:

Mark Montgomery

Nashville music and tech entrepreneur Mark Montgomery has been working in the digital and web space since 1992, when he launched one of the first five companies in the U.S. that sold music on the web. Montgomery worked as the Entrepreneur in Residence for Claritas Capital, helped launch the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, worked on the launch of the Music City Music Council and helped grow the Nashville entrepreneurial ecosystem as an advocate, mentor and investor.

Dr. Deborah Watts

Dr. Deborah Watts has more than 15 years of experience helping people and businesses grow. She currently serves as the area director for the Oliver Group, a leadership consulting firm. Watts is also an adjunct professor in the graduate college of business at Lipscomb University, and helped launch the Nashville startup America’s PowerSports, which won a Best in Business Award from the Nashville Business Journal.

Daniel Burrus

Considered one of the world’s leading futurists on global trends and innovation, The New York Times has referred to Daniel Burrus as one of the top three business gurus. He is a strategic advisor to executives from Fortune 500 companies helping them to develop game-changing strategies based on his proven methodologies for capitalizing on technology innovations and their future impact. He also is the author of six books, including Technotrends and The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal bestseller Flash Foresight.

Kurt Uhlir

Kurt Uhlir, the CEO and co-founder at Sideqik, is known for leading, advising and building disruptive companies across six continents, and he has helped drive more than $8 billion in value creation and acquisitions in marketing, location and mobile. He has 15-plus years of experience launching new businesses and effectively leading teams across six continents. Uhlir also serves as a mentor at Flashpoint, a startup accelerator at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and he is on the advisory board for several companies and nonprofits

Michael Burcham

Michael Burcham is a CEO coach, strategist, entrepreneur and innovator who currently serves as CEO of Narus Health, a healthcare organization supporting individuals facing life-limiting and life-threatening medical conditions. He was the founding president and CEO of the Nashville Entrepreneur Center, an innovation center helping launch new healthcare and technology businesses, and he teaches healthcare innovation and entrepreneurship in the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University.
