The Specialty Advertising Association of California’s (SAAC) SAAC Foundation’s mission is to grant scholarships to the families of SAAC members to promote professional, academic or artistic achievement in post-secondary education. During these challenging times, some families have fared better than others; SAAC wants to help those families and students most in need to follow their paths and dreams.

In this spirit, the Foundation is changing its criteria to reflect similar criteria for Pell Grants. A Pell Grant is a federal grant awarded, based on financial need, to students for post-secondary education at colleges, universities and career schools. And like Pell grants, SAAC scholarships do not need to be paid back.

College-aged students of current SAAC members with an annual household income of $99,000 or less are eligible to apply. The scholarship application includes a series of questions and a personal essay.

A committee will blind-review all applicants and the best scores will receive scholarships. SAAC scholarships have been awarded in this fashion since its inception to ensure a fair and unbiased selection for the most deserving students.

Applications are now available at www.saac.net/foundation. The deadline to submit is May 14. Questions regarding the initiation and completion of the procedures for application should be addressed to the 2021 SAAC Presidential Education Scholarship Committee at foundation@saac.net.
