PPAI’s Pyramid Award program celebrates the talents and accomplishments of the companies and professionals in the promotional products industry. First introduced in 1958, for more than 60 years the award program recognizes promotional products businesses and helps shine the spotlight on the collaborative business model unique to the industry. PPB Newslink is highlighting some of the winners among the 2020 Pyramid Award’s extensive Client and Marketing Program categories.

Distributor Creative Promotional Marketing, in Edmonton, Alberta, has received a Gold Award for a Self-Promotion Category campaign to increase attendance at its open-house event and support a 20-percent revenue increase during the same period, year over year.

Creative Promotional Marketing’s team designed a sweet-sounding theme by drawing inspiration from Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and integrating promotional products into the campaign. The campaign, which showcased the company’s creative and collaborative abilities, was characterized by live music, beer gardens, a food truck and a VIP seating area. The campaign featured a fan invite, promo-filled bags, sunglasses, beach balls, wristband headphones and new and top-trending products on display by 18 of the company’s preferred vendors.

The agency targeted 500 prospects and clients with the final attendance just shy of 400 people, surpassing its previous attendance record. Sales grew from the same period of the year prior by 43 percent.
