The PPAI Expo 2022 is just weeks away. And as happens every year, attendees and exhibitors have begun receiving emails from various third parties, offering to sell them attendee contact lists or help them register for Expo housing. These are fraudulent and unauthorized by PPAI. PPAI does not sell its attendee list to anyone, says Ellen Tucker, CAE, director of business development and expositions.

The Association does offer exhibitors the opportunity to send pre- and post-show emails to registered attendees through its vendor partner 8-Legged Media. The list used for this purpose only includes Expo registrants who have opted in for marketing from exhibitors.

In addition, all Expo hotel stays should be booked through the official housing and registration provider for The PPAI Expo 2022, Maritz Global Events. Improper solicitation of hotel reservations from any company other than Maritz Global Events is not approved by PPAI. Reservations made by unaffiliated organizations may appear to have lower rates, however, they may be illegitimate, not have the rooms to sell, have unreasonable cancelation or change penalties, or be completely nonrefundable. PPAI advises to be aware of and report any unauthorized solicitation to PPAI or Maritz Global Events.

The PPAI Expo 2022 takes place at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, with The Expo Conference on January 10 and exhibits open January 11-13. For more information, including hotel and travel information, visit expo.ppai.org. To register for The PPAI Expo 2022, click here.
