Future Hall of Fame NFL quarterback Tom Brady has a new teammate: Pantone. Set to launch his own fashion line, BRADY, available in select Nordstrom stores on January 12, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers signal-caller has partnered with the color authority to unveil a custom shade for his apparel: PANTONE 112-22 Brady Blue.

Pantone called the hue “bold, exuding strength and confidence, imbued with an inner intensity, emblematic of (Brady’s) self-determination and commitment to precision.”

A PPAI Affinity Partner, Pantone is the creator of a proprietary color palette widely viewed as the standard in design across a wide swath of industries—including the promotional products marketplace.

Brady Blue is a different shade from the trademark blue of the New England Patriots, the team Brady led to six Super Bowl titles and for whom he amassed most of his NFL passing records. A press release for the fashion line says the color “embodies the brand’s founding principles to be the best you can be while inspiring fearlessness, resilience and confidence towards achieving peak performance.”

Earlier in December, Pantone named its Color of the Year for 2022: PANTONE 17-3938 Very Peri.
