Michigan Promotional Professionals Association’s (MiPPA) end-user trade show returned to Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan, on September 22 with more than 400 distributor attendees and their clients, and 99 supplier booths.

Attendees could select a badge ribbon to communicate their COVID comfort level with red for “please wear a mask,” yellow to indicate that fist or elbow bumps were okay and green to say, "I’m ready to shake hands or hug again.” In addition to the trade show, attendees could explore the stadium with a guided VIP tour that included visits to the suites, press box, locker rooms and tunnel to the playing field.

Scott Powers, with distributor PowerLink, says, “It was a great ROAR show! You did the ’big things’ right and all the little things were amazing.” The little things included a puppy pop up display featuring Rebel Dogs Detroit, a local dog rescue organization that brought adorable dogs for attendees to pet and love, and adopt. Attendees could also take selfies with “ROARY,” the Detroit Lions’ official mascot and get a souvenir green-screen photo taken of them with a unique perspective of the field.

As attendees entered the show, they also had the opportunity to “Spin and Win” on the prize wheel, a traffic builder that awarded vouchers for prizes presented at exhibitor booths. MiPPA also had an area for MiPPA-branded games such as corn hole, Connect Four and Plinko to occupy and amuse those who arrived before the show’s 11 am opening.
