Supplier J. Charles Crystalworks (UPIC: JCHARLES) will acquire its sister company Quarry International (UPIC: MARBLE), effective January 1. Quarry International President Jim Fitzgerald will be retiring at the end of the year after 27 years of leading the company.

“Due to common ownership, it only makes sense for J. Charles to make this acquisition,” says J. Charles President Barry Dyas. “"We certainly wish Jim a long and happy retirement and we know his employees as well as many distributors will miss him very much.”

Dyas adds that Quarry’s classic stone products mesh well with the contemporary offerings of J. Charles. “Distributors can continue to expect the high standards for service and quality that Quarry and J. Charles are both well known for.”

Quarry and J. Charles reside in the same building in Erlanger, Kentucky, and the companies expect a seamless transition and no disruption of service. Contact information such as telephone, fax, email, and all industry identification numbers will go unchanged for the time being.
