David Plummer, owner of Canadian-based supplier Clearmount Plastics Limited, died last week after battling pancreatic cancer.

The longtime industry executive was inducted into the Promotional Products Professionals of Canada (PPPC) Hall of Fame in 2018. Plummer, a PPPC member since 1966, also served as its chairman in 2000.

Plummer and the late Rosalind Fraser Plummer founded Clearmount in 1989. Since then, the family-owned business has grown into a successful producer of premier customized awards and recognition products. In November, PPPC posthumously recognized Rosalind with the 2022 Hall of Fame Award, honoring her service within the association for more than 20 years.

Two weeks ago, St Regis Group finalized its acquisition of Clearmount in a deal that will strengthen both companies’ position in the awards, recognition and corporate giftware space.

Plummer is survived by his wife, Barb, and daughters Gillian, Kate and Nicola. Kate is Clearmount’s vice president of sales and marketing.

In a 2018 profile of the company, Kate Plummer, MAS, told PPAI Media how much it means to have grown closer to both of her parents while working alongside them at Clearmount.

“I always loved working with my parents, because I really got to know them,” she said.
