In honor of Promotional Products Work! Day, PPAI, together with its members and other industry professionals, is actively recognizing and promoting the value, impact and effectiveness of promotional products – the most memorable form of advertising.

  • More than three quarters (78%) of consumers enjoy receiving free swag from companies and brands they love, and nearly 73% want to receive promo products more often, according to PPAI’s 2023 Consumer Survey.


To commemorate today’s special occasion
, industry professionals are encouraged to thank customers, promote the benefits of branded merchandise and spread awareness of the important role industry professionals play in all aspects of advertising, marketing and business.

‘The Power Of A Promo Product’

Jenna Quaranta, vice president of sales and business innovation at KNOSS Apparel (PPAI 798753, S1) in Burlingame, California, took to Instagram to share a powerful story about promo products being a symbol of strength.

“In 2017, I attended a concert that turned into the largest mass shooting in our nation's history – Route 91 Harvest Festival,” Quaranta says. “I tracked down merchandise afterward: a T-shirt and a koozie that I keep in my safe. I went to a few survivor events as time went on and received a black koozie, which is always in my back pocket. I proudly wear this Route 91 logo tee and a black hoodie I received at these events.”

“These promo products mean the world; they bring comfort, joy and pride,” Quaranta continues. “They evoke emotions, but when I wear them, I stand tall. That's the power of a promo product – it makes you proud to wear and use.”

Influencers, such as TV host Anji Corley, serial entrepreneur Dave Kerpen and Shay Rowbottom of Shay Rowbottom Marketing, are also posting unboxing videos, showing their followers which items they received in their Promotional Products Work!-branded gift boxes.

  • Entertainer Alex Weber, who has competed on “American Ninja Warrior” and will be a keynote speaker at The PPAI Expo 2024, is also joining in on the unboxing fun.

Promotional Products Work! Day Sweepstakes

In honor of Promotional Products Work! Day, PPAI has launched a sweepstakes that celebrates the effectiveness and impact of promotional products in driving brand awareness and fostering meaningful connections. End buyers can enter for a chance to win prizes, including the grand prize of a $5,000 voucher towards their next promotional products purchase.

Distributors can invite eligible individuals who may enter by clicking a URL link provided in the invitation to visit the sweepstakes website.

  • End users must follow all instructions to complete the online entry form in its entirety, including, but not limited to, providing their name, email address, name of the company they work for and name of the distributor* they consider purchasing their promotional products from.
  • End users must submit the completed form to receive one entry into the sweepstakes.
  • There is no purchase necessary to enter the sweepstakes. The sweepstakes ends on September 30, 2023, and is subject to Official Rules.


*Distributor must be a member of PPAI to qualify as an entry.
