As reported Wednesday in a PPB Newslink Breaking News, HALO Branded Solutions (UPIC: HBS) has acquired distributor Harvey-Daco, Inc. (UPIC: HARVDACO). Harvey-Daco, a Waco, Texas-based company established in 1949, maintains satellite offices in Austin, Dallas and Houston. HALO will retain Harvey-Daco’s current sales force and offices throughout Texas while operations will transition to HALO’s Sterling, Illinois, headquarters over the next few weeks.

“Harvey-Daco is a well-run, established industry distributor that, like HALO, prides itself on the lasting relationships it has built with clients and account executives,” says Marc Simon, HALO CEO. “We couldn’t be more pleased to have Pam and Bob Kreuzburg and the rest of the Harvey-Daco team on board.”

Pam Kreuzburg, Harvey-Daco president, says, “We were impressed with the HALO team. They share the same core values of Harvey-Daco and operate like a family-run business that our salespeople and customers have become accustomed to.”

Bob Kreuzburg, Harvey-Daco vice president of sales, adds, “We’re excited for our sales force. HALO’s aggressive global sourcing, creative sales and marketing tools, and powerful technology will enhance our strong, long-standing client relationships.”

The Harvey-Daco brand will continue as needed with HALO providing operational, financial and marketing support to its sales force based on the best brand fit for each account executive’s client base. All client-facing order documents—including invoices and acknowledgements—will recognize the individual account executive and provide HALO’s corporate information, but account executives will be able to go to market with the brand that will drive the most business.
