American Solutions for Business (PPAI 101646, D12) employees recently volunteered at the local United Way of Douglas & Pope Counties’ Food Drop. Twenty-four of the Glenwood, Minnesota-based distributor’s employees helped serve a total of 83 families.

Volunteers were split into two groups to unload the truck, unbox goods, keep the tables of food stocked, assist shoppers and load groceries into their cars.

“This is such an important resource in our community to support those facing food insecurity,” says Maria Haug, accountant and office manager for the United Way. “We are so thankful for the great teams of helping hands that American Solutions for Business provided.”

American Solutions for Business provides its employees with volunteer time off so they have the ability to donate their time and skills to area nonprofits.

“Giving back to our community will always be part of the American culture,” says Justin Zavadil, ASB president. “The food drop was a great opportunity and we’re happy to support the United Way and local families in need.”
