Employees from distributor American Solutions for Business, headquartered in Glenwood, Minnesota, have recently found several ways to give back to their community. To encourage staff volunteerism, the company has a Volunteer Time Off program, offered to all employees in the home office. Relay for Life, held on June 7 in Glenwood. Ahead of the race, employees held several fundraising events that
included a company breakfast and bake sales, and raised money from selling memorial and honorary name cards,
HOPE calendars, Scratch n’ Give cards and luminary bags. On the evening of the event, the team also held several
fundraising efforts at their themed “carnival campsite,” where they sold cotton candy and carnival games. Of the
ASB team that participated, three are cancer survivors, which contributed to much of the passion and commitment
that inspired others to join the cause.
