UK’s PPExpo Draws Strong Crowds In Its 10th Year

On January 20-21, more than 2,500 distributors traveled to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry, UK, for the 10th annual Promotional Products Expo. Formerly the Trade Only National Show, PPExpo featured more than 300 industry suppliers on its show floor.

More than 600 delegates attended the Promotional Products Distributor magazine-sponsored Annual Awards Dinner, where attendees voted on the awards to be presented that evening.

The expo’s professional education included a “Lunch and Learn” series of seminars by a number of industry speakers.

The Promotional Products Expo reported a number of first-time exhibitors this year, including promotional products, print and support services providers.

 


Stahls’ Staff, Detroit Red Wings Alumni Face Off In Charity Hockey Game

Stahls’ (UPIC: STAH0001) employees faced off against a squad of former Detroit Red Wing players in a charity ice hockey game benefiting the Clark Park Coalition on January 30 at Detroit’s Clark Park Ice Rink during the annual Frozen Fish Fiasco outdoor hockey series. The matchup ended with the Wings edging out the Sterling Heights, Michigan supplier’s team with a score of 9-8.

Mark Wells, a defenseman on the 1980 USA Men’s Olympic gold medalist hockey team prepares to drop the puck. Wells coached the Stahls’ team in its charity game against the Detroit Red Wings alumni team. Proceeds benefited the Clark Park Coalition, an organization dedicated to keeping the park and its various year-round programs open.

 


PPAI Expo 2016 Exhibitors Donate Goods Worth More Than $36,000 To KINF

Volunteers and staff from the Kids In Need Foundation (KINF) and its Las Vegas-based affiliate Teacher Exchange collected 17 pallets of donated promotional products from generous exhibitors at the close of The PPAI Expo 2016 in January. The donations represent a retail value of more than $36,000. Since 2009, the organization has collected product donations at The PPAI Expo in excess of $290,000. All products are used by teachers as incentives and awards in underprivileged schools throughout the nation.
