Overture Promotions (PPAI 288541, Platinum) – ranked the No. 15 distributor in the inaugural PPAI 100 – has announced the hiring of Andrew Kelly to a newly created role: environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) compliance specialist.

In this new role at the Waukegan, Illinois-based company, Kelly will spearhead sustainability efforts, driving forward Overture’s year-over-year improvement goals.

  • He recently obtained an MBA in sustainability and environmental compliance and has experience in energy consulting for homeowners.

Sustainability Commitment

Overture’s commitment to sustainability reflects a growing aspect of the promo community’s business mindset. Environmental concerns have become a central part of the operational calculus, and this strategic addition underscores the distributor’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

In February, the certified minority-owned, woman-led firm announced its latest environmental achievement, having successfully planted 100,000 trees in partnership with Ecologi, a climate action platform.

  • Launched in October 2022, the goal of the tree-planting initiative is to reduce the effects of climate change through carbon emission offsets.

This past November, Overture announced that it scored a Silver rating in its 2023 EcoVadis audit, improving on the company’s Bronze rating from its 2022 audit.

  • EcoVadis is a globally recognized assessment platform that rates businesses' sustainability based on four key categories: environmental impact, labor and human rights standards, ethics, and procurement practices.
  • Overture is now in the 88th percentile of audited companies.

“There is so much we still want to get done on Overture’s ESG journey,” says Overture CEO Jo Gilley. “We decided the best way to make progress was to hire someone to drive, and Andrew was a perfect fit. He’s an experienced project manager, passionate about sustainability and a skilled trainer, who will be able to ensure all of our employees are part of our progress.”
